AURO: Pioneer for healthy building and living

AURO produces coatings, cleaning, care and maintenance products on the basis of raw materials mainly based on plants and minerals which leads to a very special position within the chemical industry. Since AURO’s foundation in 1983, the holistic concept of viewing raw materials from their origin and extraction to the disposal of waste from the production as well as from objects treated with the products, has proven that ecological principles are consistent with economic success.

Our corporate philosophy is based on the use of biogenic, renewable and mineral raw materials. Materials that are well-tolerated by man must be extracted from natural sources as careful as possible and then be processed according to the principles of a gentle chemistry. Moreover, social and environmental responsibility are always the starting point to further develop the successfully practiced AURO concept.

Carbon neutral company

In the year 2007, AURO was the first paint manufacturer to be certified, by the Climate Neutral Group, as carbon neutral company. 

The certificate for saving CO2 emissions gets renewed every year.

Certificate from Interseroh for saving Cos emissions

AURO received a certificate from Interseroh for saving CO2 emissions by consistent recycling of cardboard packaging and paper.
In 2010, a calculatory CO2 reduction of 1493 kg was achieved by the recycling of these materials.

Climate Certificate by “Dual System Germany”

The Dual System Germany (DSD) is the organisation responsible for the recycling of materials marked with the “Green Dot” (which are most products distributed in Germany). Every year, AURO gets a certificate naming the equivalent of CO2 that was saved through the recycling of products.

The basis is the environmental record of DSD that is set up according to the norms ISO 14040 and 14044 and examined by renowned institutions.
The recycling of packaging reduces the use of precious primary raw materials in the production process. By taking part in the “Green Dot” program of the Dual System Germany” in the year 2010, AURO has contributed to the reduction of CO2 emissions.

This certificate confirms that registered transport packaging is listed by the partners of Interseroh, that the listed transport packaging is further processed after use, and that all requirements of the packaging regulations are met.
